Term 3

Cw's blog have been deserted for 2 weeks.
Abandoned, left alone to fester in loneliness.
But that shall be no more, here i am.
Wahahahah~

How shall i start?
I dont know,
What shall i write?
I dont know,....
ppl killing ppl fighting, children heard we hear them crying.
Can u...zzzzzzzz
-_-"
K, lets start from....
The last week of holidays.

The remaining days were filled with agony and self-deception.
I struggled to find the will, but was nonetheless futile.
Each day i ended my day telling myself, "i will study tmr, i will!".
But that day never came.
Procrastination got the better of me.
My horrid lazy self is in remission.
Eating away the mugger me, bit by bit.
I tried all means to fight against it,
I brought books home, tried to go to school, and even locked myself at home for 4 days.
Sadly, my efforts were all in vain.
So there i went on a path to self destruction until school reopens.
In the 4 days where i grounded myself(to "study"), i found myself even more entertainment.
I finished the whole series of Boys Over Flowers(Korean's meteor garden) and watch a couple of movies i missed in the cinemas, such as Detroit Metal City and Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At world's end.
Nice shows, unlike Cloverfield which was atrocious.

Oh, did i mention i watched Transformers 2:Revenge of the Fallen?
On the day it was released?
Arrrrrgh!
Fantastic!
Hot girls and super cool robots equipped with firearms, what more can a guy ask for?
But it was a movie i watched in guilt, all thanks to someone.
Broke my promise to watch with bah and shum.......
Hai.
Other than watching shows, i changed my driving instructor!
Yipppeeee!
Like finally, relieved.
Alleviated of passive smoking, ancient car and a nonchalant instructor.
God blessed me.
Thank you mommy for finding me a "savior".

This new guy was marvelous.
He had a this new car that boast a "cutting-edge" looking rate meter, gear lever and so on.
So cool.
And his clutch lever was incredible.
Technologically empowered.
I no longer had to struggle and fumble on a clutch which has its biting point only at the half way mark of its release, on the outdated red lancer.
This new clutch's biting point is upon its release.
Yay, no more stalling for me.
Indeed, i did not stall at all on my first lesson with this new instructor.
He picked me up ON TIME at yck mrt and got me to immediately get into the driver's seat.
After like 2 weeks since i last drove i was hesitant, but he showed such confidence in me and assisted me to drive out of the taxi bay.
Wow, its my debut attempt on this despite the fact that this was my meeting spot for all my lessons with my previous instructor.
The reason?
The previous guy claim that the bay had lots of cars and i was too inexperienced to handle the narrow passage.
Where in kiddy land was i?
All the wasted time.
3 months!

After exiting from the bay, i went on a trip along the 72 bus route all the way to yy's house at hg.
Then we turned left and drove down a long stretch of road to Thompson area, then to bishan and finally to amk via ave 10.
This was the first time i had my entire driving lesson on the main roads and covered such a huge distance.
Oh, and he manged to get me appalled once again by asking me to do a U-turn at traffic junction twice.
Arrh.
After 1.5hrs, my fulfilling journey ended right at my doorstep(i drove myself there).
Then, out of his mouth came words that sounded unbelievable.
"This will be the meeting place for subsequent lessons."
Omg, how convenient for a late king like me!
Thank you(in caps).

Lets have a look at the differences.
My previous instructor's(lets call him old) driving lessons consist of him coming late(even later than me), driving me to the private estate in yck and making me drive in circles at gear 1,2 and 3(hardly) progressively in a deserted 2 carriage way.
And only after 1hour of his lesson, which is effectively only half cos he was late n he talk a lot, then he would allow me to try U-turns in a remote area deep in the estate.
15mins later, old would get me to drive back to yck mrt where he would nag at me nonstop to show his lack of confidence on me on the main road.
Thus, resulting in me stalling for every lesson at this part and fear the traffic lights and road.
Lastly, his would/loved to give me a call only at the last min(1 day before or on the day itself) to notify me of a lesson, and the best part he only calls once every 2weeks or even a month.
How nice is that?
I am attending a course without a schedule and seemed to had no end.
Fortunately, i had his new guy who ingeniously have his wife to plan his lessons for him.
So, i would call new's residence and speak to his wife to arrange my lessons weeks in advance and i can even book permanent slots.
I am so loving this new instructor.
Oh, n he gave me a card to track my lessons too.
Nice.

K, end of driving back to student life/reality.
So i had so much fun and end up going to school without a single homework complete or even half done for the 1st day.
Fortunately, the tutors didn't hound us for it.
Hurray!
Benevolent teachers, i love them.
All the stress and anxiety i had, which compounded as the 1st day of school approaches, were all undue.
What a relief.
Instead, i was welcome to a new term which was in a state of panic.
H1N1, temperature taking, blah blah blah.
The first thing i saw as i approached the school gate was not student helpers directing the traffic.
Instead, it was the security guard in a mask.
As i enter the school, there was all the HoD and discipline com. teachers in mask and some even in protective suit.
I was like...."Did i come to a right place? Is this a school or some horror movie about zombie infection and quarantine?"
They even went to the extent to queue all student entering up and break them into small groups and direct us to individual teachers(in masks) to give us instructions.
LOL.
Afterward, i proceeded to the assembly plaza and took my temperature.
Point to note, please do not get me wrong and think i am one that is very cynical or one that do not understand the importance of these measures.
I am not so myopic, i understand the gravity of the situation and fully approves of all that is done.
Just that, i find it all very appalling and somewhat amusing as this is the first time i am encountering such compelling procedures.

After ensuring that none of us were L4D infects, it was time for the AYG opening.
It was time to put on a show.
Whole school gathered at the gallery and waited.
All the sports Cca(excluding Odac i donno why, maybe cos it was indac in sr), went to their respective venues and started "performing".
Soccer played an exhibition match in the field, basketball ppl bounced round all 3 bball court and so on.
Then after quite sometime, the AYG torch relay team came.
Passed the torch to some unknown sr student who ran 1km of the will run route with it.
Oh, the entire route was filled with cca groups showcasing themselves by the side.
As the relay team finish the last 400meters round the track, the aunties/grannies from the nearby RC who exercise every morning in sr joined the run.
N when the torch arrive at the finishing point for photo taking, they stood right beside the P(who took the torch from the student).
Asian Youth Game, looks like the grannies were young at heart too as they took the spotlight.
Highly comical.

The day went on with a principal's speech and lessons after noon.
On that day, monday, i also stayed back in school to frantically try to complete all the "impossible to finish" holiday homework.
Oh, did i forgot to mention that i slept only at 3am on monday morning just to finish the chem group 2 tutorial, and partly cos my bio-clock had become accustom to that time and i cant sleep b4 that?
It was like a torture for me when i got home on monday night.
Tired, exhausted, K.O.
But, i still did not finish my hw.
N tue was a day full of tutorials of almost every subject.
Fortunately, as i said earlier, these were all undue when i the tutors did not ask for the hw on tue.

After school on tuesday, there was a birthday dinner lined up for me.
Priscilla had graciously invited me to her bade dinner.
Thank you!
Went to Sabai restaurant at taka for thai food.
Hot! Spicy! in my point of view.
N that was after pris's dad had called in advance to request to lower the spiciness by 10%.
There were quite a few people who were also invited and i was actually taken back initially by the people who attended.
Not bad....
Chatted a lot, had a lot of catching up to do since they were secondary school friends and i had not seen many of them for almost a year or more.
Then pris's cake came, cut cake n stuff as usual.
The cake looked ordinary, but it did not taste mediocre.
It was quality chocolate cake.
Following that, pris's dad tried to engage in a conversation with us which left us all in awkwardness as he went about with "matured" topics.
However, i thought it was quite interesting and thought provoking.
Somehow, i always had an interest in "matured" topics such as history, culture, global perspectives or politics, the fact that it is debatable and carried differing points of view is appealing.
Then, pris's dad foot the bill, Thank You again and of cos i bought a present(despite it being last min), and we continued chatting outside.
Some of them went for late night movie but i had to go home.
As much as i wanted to join them, i had school the next day.
Got home very late(11+pm) and turned in very late(1am) as i had work to do.

Next day, i was half asleep in school.
Econs came and i was told the first "horror story".
We had to hand up econs file, holiday homework and complete all subsequent tutorials in full length.
What the bloody hell?!
So, stayed back in school again to do work.
Tired....

Over the couple of days, all my mid-yr exam results were revealed too.
Chemistry was a sad case so was Gp.
The only subject that made me jubilant and over the moon was PHYSICS!
Miss Eng is the BEST physics teacher in the world!
She singlehandedly enlightened me and helped me visualised all the perplexing physics concept i struggled with over the past 2 years.
Thanks to her i got a B.
What a consolation.
So my results were BBEES. Math, phy, chem, econs, gp respectively.
61.25 ranking point including pw.
However, the school did magic to my econs and gp by taking my A lv(B and E respectively) grades for calculation and boosted my ranking points to 68(67.5 rounded up).
On thursday, the MYE result analysis was shown during CT(assembly) period.
I missed the leaderboard by 2points.
SOb Sob sob.
WHY? I am so sad.
No la, kidding.
8 ppl got more than 70point and made it to the leader board.
I got trashed by shum who boast an owning 77point(ABB) which put him in 2nd spot in the entire cohort but his name was mysteriously not included.
2 more points to my dream, my aspiration.
Hai.
A fellow jc2 repeat/sp2 made the leader board with 70points.
I was so dissapointed with myself.
I found out later that my points actually tied with him(at 61.25) based on mye results but the "magic" boosted him by 8.75points when i only got a 6.75 increase.
Sian. sian. sian.
Leader board, leader board, leader board!
Prelims, srjc u watch out!

On a side note, it was gratifying as i took a look at my 2008 mye/prelim/common test results.
Ct, was straight "U"s for all subjects.
MYE, an S for math and the rest in blood U garnering me only 18point due to mt and pw.
Prelim, D to gp and phy due to moderation and 30points, yay i pass promo.
LOL.
Yes, an improvement of 43.25points, WA, 240%.
hahahaha.
I am so happy.
This gives me the impetus to mug more and harder for term 3 for my hard work in term 2 had bore fruit.
Huh, the mean ranking point for the entire sci cohort was 26.
WOW.
FFs.

Hmm, today was college day rehearsal and tmr is college day.
Thus, there was no school today but there was some 5min quality of school survey i had to attend.
Then went orchard for window shopping with dst, the person who gave me a huge surprise by going all out to defend his friend and made me felt pale in comparison.
It was retail therapy and getting a life amidst all the mugging.
Bye ppl.
Thanks to me blogging for nearly 3hours, u had this to read.
lol.
Ciao.
Scott signs off.
