Working life

Hello, i finally got the energy and time to blog.
Damn, working is fun, but its sure tiring.
Standing the whole day.

Ok, lets recall back to Tuesday.
Went to Sentosa in the morning with heng, yuan, aawk, yy, rs, and 3 girls(where 2 of them are gfs).
Woke up early, went to vivo, then wait and wait for quite sometime for people to arrive.
Meanwhile, went giant to buy water and i ate my mac $2 breakfast, then set off.
Took the monorail or wdv that is called, the "future development" station does not look as scary as before anymore, so not fun.
We stopped at beach station and walked a bit to the beach.
Initially, we stopped at somewhere near to play soccer, but then we decided to relocate.
As the girls were gone to change or sth, the guys went off to find a new location while me n yy stayed behind to wait for the girls to return.
As we waited, there was an "ang mo" family beside us.
And as we know "ang mo"s are very open and love what we call bikini, so yy started all his lame stuff.
Super funny.

Next, we went over to meet up with the rest at the beach volleyball court.
Talking about volleyball, some idoit aka mr " i have to accompany my mom to the doctor"(u know who u r) said the night b4 that he wanted to play volleyball and he was so going.
In the end?
An sms came in at 5am in the morning full of excuses.
Nvm, not the 1st time also.
Ok, then we played volleyball for like an hour under the imba hot sun!
Scorching!
Moreover, volleyball was so imba difficult.
But i think mr heng did not find it so as he was such a "pro".
His stunning poses as he tries to hit the ball were amazing!
He flew about at all angles and even remembered to show a little of his "sexyness" as his jumped for the ball.
Sarcasm, in short he "走光".
Lol.
Sry, heng pls dont kill me when u see this.

After the vball game, which cos $26 for an hour, we went to 7-11 to buy some drinks.
Oh ya, i have not paid for the vball.
Yeah, and at the 7-11 there was a life show called: the tussle btw store keeper and customer.
Did not know convenience stores provided such entertainment.
Wow!
After that, i left as i had to go for work.

Rushed home, changed and stuff then left for work.
Started work at 5pm.
Today i was again attached to an experience aunty and helped as her packer as i learn from her.
She was a Great teacher!
In fact, all the aunties i was attached to were superb.
Kind, caring, friendly, enthusiastic, experience, calm, everything.
Hmm, today was tuesday so elderly above 60yrs old gets 2% discount.
As a result, there were quite a few aged people.
And, today i got to experience night shift.
Although night has fewer hours 5pm-10pm, the number of customers is so much more.
Unlike morning shift, there is never a break in between customers.
I don't even have time to take a break.
There are all kinds of people, whom some are very.... well not very nice, and some that are rather kind.
Learnt a lot today, especially at how to handle customers.
Plus, there were loads of funny moments today.
Especially the last customer we served, she is famous through the whole store, everyone's face changed upon seeing her.
What an interesting day.

Wednesday, i went to training school.
It was all the way at Queenstown.
Super far!
I forgot to bring the map i was given and i was lost as a result.
But, fortunately i managed to realise it in time and turned back to ask for directions then i found my way.
And fortunately again, i went out early so i could afford to be lost and still not be late.
The rest of the day after i reached the training institute i was attending the "ready to work" class.
The trainer was very funny and interesting, but well, sitting down and listening to theory is kind of boring and dry.
Nearly fell asleep, back to sch huh?
During tea breaks there were coffee, tea and biscuits.
Great!
And the best is, i am paid during training!
Wee.
Anyway, the place was quite old and so was the hawker centre nearby(where i had lunch).
Its quite rare to find such old buildings nowadays.

Then, in the afternoon we down to the store for some "field trip".
But, it was also quite boring.
Lol.
After store tour, we went back for the last bit of theory and lesson ended at 5pm.
On the whole, the trainer was very good.
But the nature of the lesson was quite boring.
Also, the contents were totally brainwashing.
Like some propaganda talk to psycho me to idolise the company.
Haha.
Then, as i took the train back to amk i was shocked to see the value on my ez-link card.
Btw, i had alrd bought the new cepas card a week ago, $15, $10 value inside, $5 deposit.
I merely took two train trips and 1 bus trip today and i cost me 3 whole bucks.
OMG!
I miss the 45cent days so badly.
Transport as an adult is so expensive, no wonder people rather buy cars.
Public transport is totally not a good substitute, the price alone easily puts people off.
Went home, dead tired.

Next day, Thursday, today.
Report at 10am.
5 aunt came to visit me, surprised me.
But, i had not start work yet so its ok.
Had to wait till 11.
So from 10 to 11, i was asked to go for tea break.
To my disappointment, the pantry here did not have any free biscuits or drinks.
Sad.
At 11am, my "shi fu" came so i could start.
Yay, today finally i could sign in using my name and took charge of the counter.
No more packer boy!
Wee.
But, of cos the "shi fu" is there to supervise me.
Oh btw, i said my training school was supposed to last for 3 days.
Which means i only return to work on Saturday.
However, there was some mistakes with the schedule so my other 2 days of training is postponed to next week.
No matter, i can still do unofficial training, like today.
In fact, cny is coming and the chief cannot afford to wait until next week and wants me to learn on the job.

So, today as my 1st day in-charge of the counter, it was quite stressful.
Honestly, i panic-ed quite a few times, and i made a few mistakes.
Sad.
But, overall, everything was good.
At the end of the day when i did my report the cash tallied, so everything went fine.
No fault, all corrected on the spot.
Luckily, if not i will have to pay of the missing amount.
Well, other than money.
I met quite a few sticky situations today.
I will not say it here, but some people are just so .......
Yeah, sickening.
I must constantly remind myself that i am only drawing a very nominal pay and i do not need to have a tussle with customers.
Phew.
Oh ya, today aawk came with his gf when i was cashiering.
Surprised me, gave me a shock.
Made me forgot what i was doing before that, lost my train of thoughts.

He bought so goggles and pants.
Lol.
Preparing to go swimming.
Going into green prison tmr, so sad!
tsk tsk tsk.
All the Best and Good Luck!
(like he will get to see this in time, lol)

Before i end, tell u something funny.
While i was scanning the newpaper for the customer today, i saw the headlines "Derby 1 Man utd 0".
My eyes and mouth sprang wide open on the spot la!
Omg, can't imagine man utd lost to a relegated team.
Damn it.
Lol, then my "shi fu" see me like that thought what happen.
Haha.
Then after work, met up with choon kim to give him so stuff b4 i went home.
Felt so bad to make him wait for half an hour, cos i was counting the money inside.
Sorry.

Ok, i got to work at 8am tmr.
Gtg, cya.
Scott signs off.
