The nspi treatment

After listening to the stories,
My job doesn't seem that bad anymore.

I thought my nspi life was trash,
I resent about it every second.
But after listening to my fellow nspis share their account of their job,
I felt so fortunate.

Nonetheless, I will not resign to just giving up and accepting that this is just how it is.
The life of an nspi, no respect, no pride....
Being treated like junk, belittled just because we are 'ns'.
I am not going to just hang on for another 11 more months and F O/ ORD.
No, i will prove my worth.
So what if this is just ns?
I am still an nspi, insp(ns).
ns or not, i am still a senior officer in paper and in reality.
Weather this transcends in the regs, sc and civi officers attitude towards us, it doesn't matter.
They are entitled to whatever perception they might have of an nspi.
But thats not me, i make them realise what my definition of an nspi is.

Nspi, i'll carry my diamonds with pride.
"Commander wants answer not questions", this was from basic staff work.
And only now did i realise the meaning of this phrase.
This is not a joke, like what ppl on fb have made it out to be.
I mean it, cmdr really wants answers not questions.
Only through results(providing answers/solutions) do we prove our capabilities.
Asking for solutions(questions) only shows how incompetent we are.

Don't go straight up to cmdr(or your boss whoever they may be) and ask HOW? when faced with a problem.
That equates to saying "i'm useless, i cant think, i cower when faced with obstacles."
Instead, think of possible methods to approach and solve the problem.
Be prepared and discuss the problem with your boss, not give the problem to your boss.
Suggest solutions, even if they aren't accepted, it still paints a good picture of you.
Someone who can think and takes initiative.
Your boss will also tell you why your solution is not possible, and will eventually come up with the solution.
Thats where we learn, see the shortfalls in our vision and improve on it.
Thats the way to be a leader, a senior officer.

Prove to others why they should call you "SIR" and even if they don't do it verbally, they do it in their heart.
"Up Check" thats the way to be.
Hiding under the radar, keeping a low profile, "mind your own business" attitude, hope nobody notice me, being passive, slacking off, being lazy....
All these are nonsense.
These are "men" attitude.
Don't be a ldr, return the rank, no point.

Yup, i'm not going to sleep on things, play cs in the office, or show ppl that i can't be bothered.
Leaders make things happen, leaders make changes.
See something wrong, rectify it, cos nobody else would.
