Okay. Time to blog.
I am on leave today. Yeah, "leave".
Self-declared rest day.
Actually, i had prepared for school but...
after i bath i found out that i had no uniform to wear, n its kind of late...
so....i decided to stay at home.
YAY!
Hmm, lets back track.
I was talking about graduation in my previous posts and yup, its over.
I graduated for the second time, tsk.
Was quite unhappy on grad day though.
Disappointed.
There was this ceremony in the hall, usual grad day thing...and they gave out prizes and mentioned names.
Maybe i expected too much, had too much false hope.
Only to end up empty.
Pop, the bubble burst.
Arh, then some stupid teacher caught me twice for talking during the whole draggy event.
Please la, take a look around, if u are so free why dont u go catch everyone.
Almost everyone else is either talking, sleeping or fiddling with their phone.
Just because i sat at the corner sit and was the most "exposed" person, u keep picking on me.
Picking only on the susceptible ones, what a noob police wannabe.
Moreover, isn't getting distracted during such occasions too much of a norm to bother about?
Its like such stuff are bound to happen. So why bother?
U get a whole lot of energetic teens to sit down to listen someone talking on and on and on for hours, how feasible is that?
N if he was so "attentive" how would he be able to spot me.
Admit it, u r just as restless.
Just wanna catch me to amuse yourself, "Yay, i caught someone talking!"
The last segment of the programme was the highlighting of commendable students in each class by the principal.
Of cos those notable students where picked by their individual tutors.
There was this build up of anticipation(u, me, u, me, u, me) n popped.
Siannnn, none of us.
But, someone i dont really thought was deserving....
Well, who am i to judge.
I am just a noob not even worthy of recognition.
Blah, blah, blah.
Was sulking for the succeeding few hours, and my pals had to put up with me.
Felt so bad.
The next day was FUN.
It was nike human race 2009.
Wohooo.
10km, i did it once again.
This was my first 10k this year cos i skipped Will run.
Whoa, but the race starts at 7+am.
Had to wake up at 5am, take the first bus and head down to sg flyer.
Its my first time visiting the Singapore flyer, not bad i supposed.
Human race was more organised this year but the "rock" bands still sucked.
No more Boyslikegirls, SAD.
5,4,3,2,1.
The race started n i wait for a whole 5mins before i got to the starting line.
There was like a whole battalion of red there and there was a throng of people before me.
The music was so loud and everyone was kind of high, and adrenaline was in the air.
It started well.
1km no kick, 2km, 3....
Then 5km was like hmm....
Started to stop for drinks at the hydration points, only to make me more lazy.
Because i had to stop to get water and i sort of lost the momentum.
Anyway, every km after the 5 was like a higher mountain to surmount.
There was like so many people blocking the way, fatigue set in, i gave in to temptation.
I walked periodically, haha, just like last year.
Having 1.5hours to run 10km only serves to entice me to walk.
Fortunately, some nice friend of mine came along from behind and motivated me to run again.
But at 8km, i stopped again.
During my evening runs i had in school (to train for this), i stopped at 7 or 8km.
So this was my "end point" mentally.
Anyway, upon reaching the 9km marked i braced the last km.
Crossed the finishing point and yay i finished my joy run.
Following that i proceeded to the holding area, grabbed lots of freebies along the way, ie 100+, the race band and so on.
Met up with my friends, ate ice cream, took pictures and waited.
Then, like an hour or so later came what we were all waiting for.
The horde of srjcians around were all anticipating this moment, Utt announced the champions for the school catagory...
SRJC!
We won again, Hooray.
It was quite obvious though, judging from the sheer number of srjcians around.
I think sr would win again and again and again for the next couple of years to come.
Nike human race had became some sort of a school event ever since running became a school culture.
Well, its something good and sr should be proud of it.
I am honoured to participate in the molding of a better srjc too.
Post race activity was lunch at subway before heading home.
Well, it was a great morning to remember, Fantastic.
In a blink of an eye, monday came.
School was officially over and i can go to school anytime i want, to study.
Woke up at around 9 or 10am, reached school at around noon, have lunch, study, then go for tea break, continued studying, then dinner and then all the way till 9.30pm.
Yumm, i am eating this blueberry cheesecake from Bakerzin and its extraordinary.
I dont usually eat blueberry, but this was an exception.
Simply marvelous.
Ok, back to the topic.
Yeah, life was good and relaxed, it wasn't at all painful to study this way.
The whole week was more or less identical, and studying with my friends in school is the best life i could ever have.
Oh, then at night i facebook-ed to enjoy myself.
I simply loved this life.
1 more week to A level and i can't believe life is so good.
But, the pastures would not be as green on the other side.
I wonder how are those people who fail their prelims are feeling right now?
Are they in panic mode and struggling?
Thinking of repeating?
Shocked by the sheer number of concepts that they haven't grasp?
Worried over how they can't do more than half the practice papers?
And worst, don't even understand the answers?
Or have they given up in the face of peril.
Don't worry, its normal.
Its too late....not to apologise but rather too late to start getting worried.
Accept your fate for this was how u decided to embark on ur jc2 career.
I have been through it, i chose joy over suffering(might not be) just like how many did.
Don't regret what you do, for u have got what u wanted.
A carefree and happy jc2 life.
The consequences are inevitable so don't try to run.
Start thinking of plan B instead.
Ahhhh, i feels so good to be in the "safe zone".
Hahaha.
That the GL side of me speaking, but its the truth.
Anyway, thats all for today folks.
See ya next time.
Scott signs off.
