I was in this cell for the past 2 years until i was finally released last november.
But my test results on march the 5th proved that i was still sicken and i had to go back to the cell to squat for another 1 year, and that i was not ready for war.
Now i have to take another round of medication aka books and the wardens, hai, they found out that i did not take my medication last year.
So on 23 of march, i will once again be locked up in hell and these are my last days of freedom.
So nice of me to spend my last moments blogging.
Tick, tick, tick, 24 hours until i have to report to prison.
ok, i promised to talk about my Batam trip in my last post.
Damn, man u lost again.
2 lost in a row, 3 red cards in 2 matches, wth are they doing?
Err, ok back.
Oh, after taking the ferry(which was quite comfortable) for about 45mins from harbour front,
I arrived at a place where I WAS A MILLIONAIRE!
I was amazed at the number of zeros they have on each price tag as everything i saw cost thousands of dollars.
I was so thrilled upon think that this place must be Paragon's twin.
So i search the whole place for LV, gucci, prada... and guess what?
All i found and only found were Polo shops everywhere.
Yes, the one with the man riding the horse.
This was like the local fabric mac, where they will have at least one outlet camped at each big shopping centre.
And interestingly, there are 2 "Polo"s there.
1 was"POLO" and one was "POLO Ralph Lauren", the former was not registered for export while the latter had the license.
Yeah, and both aren't cheap either with the former only about 20 or more sgd shy of the other.
Ok, then i went to this harmoni hotel which looks quite nice except the fact that people are allowed to smoke in the lobby.
Why do people like to kill their lungs and also passively kill mine.
Ok, then after checking in and taking a good look at the room we went to this big shopping centre for lunch.
We went to this "chinese restaurant", looked chinese, signboard and everything but the food was indo-style, spicy.
Wa lao.
Then we walked round the whole huge shopping centre, ok la, not say v huge, normal, and wow!
There was nothing.
Nothing!
Ok, out of boredom i decided to go to their local "popular bookstore" lookalike and i found these...
I am so excited with the "k"s and all their books were in this komik language and i can absolutely read all of them.
This reminds me of some joke we had in J1, and some1 in my class was supposed to know how to decode these "k"s, right?
Ok, then i went to their hypermarket and wow.
There products are nothing i have seen before.
Hey look at some french fries..
Dig the amount u want, no wastage. wow.
WOW!
Hy-gi-ene? whats that?
Anyway, i walked there from my hotel and crossing the road was very save.
There are traffic lights everywhere so much so that u can always see one and no, no, no, cars dont rush across the road especially on zebra crossings.
Oh, then later in the night we went for seafood dinner at some restaurant by the sea.
Appearance wise, it was very chinese, it was really similar to a chinese jiu lou but went we sat down and tried to order....
The menu was in a language i could not understand but served chinese food, well i am in a foreign land.
What makes things worse was that none of the waiters understand mandarin or english! even when they were chinese.
Fortunately, they understood dialect and my parents could speak to them.
Anyway, the prawns were "huge" and the fish was so "fat".
Randomly, this was the watermelon juice i ordered, it looked quite pretty though...
Then, after dinner we rushed back to the hotel!
Why?
There was man u vs lvp, and the hotel had the espn channel which fortunately had the match.
But, sian, it was a horrible match.
Next day, sunday, went to another horrible shopping centre and i hate it.
But nvm.
Here come the best part, about noon time we went for this foot massage.
My sis, my cousin and i booked this foot massage session at the hotel.
THIS was the BEST and ONLY great thing of the whole trip.
We get to lie on these beds which had the circle thing on the top to stuff ur face in while u lie on ur stomach.
Then they dim the lights(its in private room kinda thing) and had this aroma thing, then they rub oil on the leg and did the massage.
So shuang can, i nearly fall asleep.
Not fall asleep as in bored, but it was very relaxing.
They really massage very well.
After that, we checked out and went back to spore.
Fortunately this was only a 1+ day trip, cant wait to go home.
Not that i am so cynical and keep seeing bad in that place.
But i guess this is somewhat a sporean attitude and we/i like to compare what we have.
On no offence though, i really felt this was a downgrade.
Having lived all my life in spore it can be said that i am accustomed to our standard of living and took our public amenities for granted and even set it as a minimum standard for a city.
Of cos i had been to china, but i consider that rural, so i see it differently.
Anyway, no point talking about this.
Oh, i just found another pic i took, this was my last meal there, my lunch on sunday, spaghetti carbonara...
Lol.
The end, that was batam.
After i came back i went straight to sentec IT fair to buy an ext HD, 320Gig for $99, expensive right!
TSK!
Oh, and for the second time, my driving instructor smoked in the car again on thursday.
And this time he even spit out of the window, WA LAO!!!!
Can he please have some manners!
Err, other than this the week had been fun!
Went for quite few L4D and soccer sessions.
Even ended up with a huge blister but i am still happy.
1 more day to school.
I am feeling very uneasy right now.
Dont know what to expect.
No more freedom, no difference from being locked in the army.
Hai.
Crappy life.
But life still have to move on.
Cya ppl, i dont know whats installed for me, will try to post if i have the time.
Hope u make the best out of whatever u are doing right now, have fun =)
Scott signs off.
