Life

Life! Life ! LIFE!
Get a life.
Finally.
Burned, stretched, insufficient sleep, drained.
But i like it.

After such an arduous period of mugging in school, confinement at home, reading notes, practicing papers, memorising content, and staring at the com all day......
I got to break out of this vicious cycle, AT LAST.
It has been such a long time since i enjoyed myself  so thoroughly, intensely and vigorously.
So long since i got myself so tired, so worn out, so beaten, but it feels great.
Going all out to play, to have fun.
Having a day so packed with activities that has no relation to academics, one after another, rushing for each, thats the urgency to play.
Shun the urgency to study, shun , shun.

Hey!
But A levels are not over yet.
There are 3 more papers left, chem p1, phy p3 and phy p1.
"Who says paper1 no need study?"
"Think mcq not important huh?"
"People mugging their heads off know, doing 100million mcq questions hor."
I say HECK those people, act serious nerds.
Do u seriously think last minute work will help?
If it was so, i would have got straight A s for my exams last year.
I always waited till a day before the exams before i start studying previously.
And i mugged through the night trying my best to cramp everything but only to no avail.
I couldn't remember a thing on the day of my chem paper and i failed it despite it being so bloody easy.

Come on.
'U's in mid-yr and prelims to 'A's in a levels.
"Ya thats possible! Believe in yourself! Its the final lap, u can do it!" says the teacher.
WOW, and the next moment srjc has 100% graduates making it into university.
From the mean ranking points of 20 odd points in prelims to a quantum leap of 80points for a levels.
Marvelous, all the U warriors turn into scholars.
Is that possible?
Fat hope.
There will be no value in consistency if this was so.
I have been slogging for the past half a year or so(ever since i came back) and i have done sufficiently for me to clear prelim papers with considerable ease.
Thus, i shall now take a reversal of roles and watch how people slog and panic while i enjoy my hearts out.
I am prepared and i wonder how people are doing, trying to squeeze 2 years of effort out in just a month, good luck(u will need it).

Anyway, i am not here to talk about this and i am in no position to comment.
"Don't count the chickens before they are hatched" i quote.
So i better shut up.

The topic at hand.
My pursuit of pleasure spree went on till 2am the previous night resulting in oversleep the next morning.
As usual, hmm.
Sports day was at a different venue as sr was so inhospitable towards their ex-students.
Soccer.
Basketball.
The usual cuisine, under the hot sun.
Following that, i went home and tried my best to bathe and get out asap(which was impossible).
Met at GSC, had lunch and lan.
Dota......
I so hate losing.(even when i have not touched it for a year)
Then, bought some movie tickets.
Went to Andersen's of denmark for some birthday affair with an ice-cream cake, which i thought it was amazing that i would and could make such things happen(cos i usually throw such jobs to others, ie girls).
Oh then we went for Paranomal Activity.
This was like a sequel of Quarantine, if u had watch that movie.
Just that this wasn't as scary as that, it was more of being very disturbing.
There weren't scenes of ghosts or ghouls appearing physically, as the demon in this movie was invisible.
Audience only got to see the effects of the demon, ie what the demon do to scare the characters.
Apart from that, another reason why the movie was not that scary, as many would say, would be because the demon here did not engage with the audience until the last part.
The "thing" was toying with the characters the whole time and the camera was just by the side capturing the whole story.
Thus, it isolated the viewers causing many to get bored.
This was unlike many other horror movies where the camera angle was the point of view of the victims, if u get what i mean, not a bystander.
Lol.
I am so going to watch 2012 next weekend!
Movies for a life, its the Singaporean pastime.

Dinner.
After the movie, we went Aston's for some food.
They had this branch at amk, at some ulu coffeeshop and this was the first time i ate there.
Not bad, worth eating.
And worth returning.
Just have to bear in mind that visiting the toilet prior to the visit was necessary as the toilet was "5 stars!" and don't ever act noob in front of the cashier as she is easily appalled by ignorance.
Thats all for the day.
My eventful day, which landed me home at 11+pm.

Subsequently, i had to "chiong" facebook intensively as i have not been on it the whole day.
My 8 active games that i play NEEDS my attention, so does the hilarious videos that people post on their walls and make it to my homepage daily.
What a waste of time, but too bad i am stuck to them.
However, the vids are quite worth the time though (lol).

Now for the answer to this week's edition of Cw's quiz.
My favourite subject currently is obviously...Physics.
How can physics not be interesting when its not a memorising subject, but rather an "understanding" subject where conclusions are made based on the properties of the various concepts of physics.
More importantly, the initial grasping of the basic physics concepts is no where easy.
The ideas in physics cannot be easily understood or appreciated by a layman unless one is willing to forgo his past conceptions of things in this universe.
In short, one must have an open mind.
And more often than not, physics would reward one with interesting results that makes one go "wow, i didn't know this was possible!", for people who understands and appreciate it.

Well. this marks the end of this post.
I shall see ya next time.
Watch out for the quiz.
Scott signs off.
